The very last Blues & Soul magazine of the 60's decade, shortly afterwards Contempo entered the 70's with issue 24 on January 02, developing a new vision of how the magazine would look, going fortnightly as a larger format, leaving these 10" x 8" behind giving rise over the coming decades to iconic status for the Music Magazine collectors.

This "last" issue of the "swinging sixities" inc: Another thought provoking article from the legendary Dave Godin appraises the groundbreaking Impressions new release "Choice Of Color" a social statement decades ahead of it's time (as was Dave), Skinheads, Teddy Boys, Erma Franklin & Wilson Picket live at the Albert Hall underling the huge void of intelligent critique he left on his passing.

Articles include STAX SOUL EXPLOSION with black and white pics of Darrell Banks & William Bell.. the original and "the fake" Drifters debate. Isaac Hayes - large artist pic. etc..

Record company adverts inc: Soul City - Major Lance "The Beat", Action Records, Stax albums FULL page advert, MCA, Emi - Apple release of Billy Preston, etc.

Blues & Soul leaving the 60's with a bang..!
