Description

Description

A neat clean copy, complete with the 1968 entry form, almost always missing or filled in. Intact an looking flawless.

But what an array of artist pivs & bios..

Full page artist photo and bio full page bio of artist of a man that would become as icon Bobby Womack, his UK Minit releases largely going unnoticed, his Valentinos session on Soul City brought only fleeting cult-success. Bobby's time would come in the early 70's until his death in 2009 when he would be considered by all as one of the greatest Soul talents ever.

Full page artist photo and bio full page bio of artist of the moment Cliff Nobles "The Horse" going on to be a club monster! A countrywide floor-filler, certainly our local youth club, coffee bar, school dance vibrated to to the tones of Jesse James and the burping sax of Mike Terry (an unknown in the UK then)

A fabulously nostalgic "Action Label Album Advert", a full page of Baby Washington black & white 4 in total.

This month's full page centerfold is Otis Redding. Back Page full artist pose is Edwin Starr.

Top of reader wants list, in 1968 was The Flamingos - Boogaloo Party . With all the usual 45 and LP reviews along with unmissable Dave Godin column..

Blues & Soul # 14 is without doubt one of the most desirable in the early series..
