Extremely rare and flawless FIRST 45 release on Jerry Cohen's label with the original company address of 351 Washington Street, Newark, New Jersey. A little later when the location of the label moved, the colour changed to Blue. The blue labvel release credits James Wayne and his Night Hawks as providing the backing music, and relicensed away from "Big Hush" BMI to "Slip N' Skip" music, two self composed recordings that Billy most likely transferred copyright over. When Jerry Cohen launched his local label for artists in the area.

Originally "I Wonder" was the flipside of this neighborhood Blues drag, that Billy poured every ounce of of his gravel coated vocal into, not a sad song at all, but Billy manages to make it as somber as possible. "I Don't Want No Other Woman" is an exemplary example of poor area Newark New Jersey Blues from 1961.

But like all standout flipsides they whether it be the blue or the yellow press "I Wonder" took the lead being picked up by R&B club DJ's, with the devastating freestyle saxophone outburst stealing the show. .

USA rare New Jersey Blues, two self composed recordings, in rarely, if ever encountered mint minus condition, with two clean labels.

Condition is everything!
