It's been an age since we've been able to list this 100 Club New Haven, Connecticut crooner with a bold slice of "Beat Ballad Heaven".

Former lead vocalist of the Connecticut vocal-group "The Chestnuts" displays all his consummate vocal capacity, strolling through Jimmie Crane's composition from neighbouring Rhode Island. his own composition elevated by a bank of zipping strings and a heavenly girl choir. Melding together for a magnificent out-of-town "Big City" experience. That epitomises the Ady Croasdell life-line the 100 Club provided to the Northern Soul scene during the 80's.

Listen to its power, presence and passion Bill Baker provides with seemingly minimal strain, like a only a seasoned-serenade could.

This is Beat-Ballad Heaven at its best, most-elusive and finest condition. Listen and soak up the atmosphere this recording emits.

Just too darn good to pass by...
