A timeless club classic in its most-impossible of clothes - 1962 Canadian press!

Flawless condition, housed in the serrated-cut bottom-seam original company sleeve. Rare completeness indeed, a super-rare foreign release for this double helping of classic Northern Soul Club dancing.

Released in the USA, United Kingdom and New Zealand, this Canadian variation is by far the rarest of the 4 only worldwide incarnations.

Both sides the work of the prolific New Orleans lyricist Allen Toussaint using his mother's name Naomi Neville as a pseudonym . Toussaint of course was New Orleans largest contributor to Louisianan Soul/R&B his output nothing short of breathtaking. On this disc you have two of his greatest creations.

"Fortune Teller" a Twisted Wheel, 60's MOD club anthem, has enjoyed a recent dancefloor revival, its charms never fading, no matter how many times you hear it. Archetypal New Orleans a mid-pace dance groove that always ignites the crowd. Whilst the lyrically brilliant "Lipstick Traces (On A Cigarette)" is an atmospheric moody original version of the later O'jays version; toned down, sulking Soul and utterly addictive.

Two finer 1962 examples of the Crescent City sound you couldn't find, a rare release of it either, finer condition would be impossible. Do not pass by!
