Undisputedly the Texas Soul Queen's rarest 45 and also her finest Northern Soul offering.. seldom seen for sale, seldom heard but ALWAYS fills the floor.

Personally I've always been inspired by this 45, Barbara's most muscular recording by far; since I heard Colin Curtis play it at the Blackpool Mecca circa 1973. To my disappointment I only heard it played sporadically over the next 4 decades, it's unavailability playing a huge part in it's veiled existence. Over the last 10 years I've personally dropped it into as many sets as I can, always with a positive dancefloor response followed by crooked necks trying to read the label as it revolves... it sure is an attention seeking tune. Her unmistakeable voice and style an instant hit with punters.

As usual, written by Barbara herself, produced by the prolific Huey Purvis Meaux; a collaboration that ensured high quality, finest Texas Soul recordings everytime...

Take a listen, you will, like me be reminded and somewhat surprised this 45 did not rise up to become a timeless Northern Soul classic, after the Prince of the Blackpool Mecca first dropped it on those sacred turntables. A case of elusiveness halting its progress, but now allows today's DJ's to spin a neglected treasure that instantly wow's the crowd with it's penetrating dance pulses, met head-on by that awesome Sister vocal and her skilled twanging guitar rhythms.

Distinctive Northern Soul thundering down the comeback trail...
