Description

Description

It has took decades but at last, this deluge of Sister Soul is atnow enjoying substantial turntable action, at clubs where the DJ's are constantly exhuming long lost Soul-gems.

Prepare yourself to be blown out of your seat, by a mighty vocal elevated by the presence of a Soul Brothers Six back up! The collaboration gives birth to stunningly explosive Northern Soul.

This 45 has of course been know and appreciated by many, for over the 5 decades, collectors and forward thinking DJ have sang it's praises through two centuries. It was even honored with a Jamie/Guyden reissue in the late 70's, as it started to simmer away on a few play lists... but then mystifyingly went underground. The recent demand for the limited styrene reissue has been huge, we sold out completely some time ago, this original 1967 vinyl press is an elusive beast indeed..

So listen to the indomitable voice of Alfreda Brockington, hitting spectacular heights, that Willie Ellison & team push her to; without a tremor or pause the collaboration crafts floor-destroying Northern Soul that is now on the comeback trail, it should never have been on in the first place. Only elusivity and bad taste have prevented 45 becoming a memorable NS classic in the past, it seems this time nothing can thwart this NS Juggernaut's progress.

NOTE just how rare this 1969 first press vinyl STOCK is. There is no mention on the "web" that the styrene press is a much-later reissue, and that copy is now selling for healthhy sums.. So, if you believe in Northern Soul OVO guidelines, this vinyl press is the only way to own or play it, the promo is of course the original 1969 vinyl press. The stock copy is so seldom seen, many have overlooked the fact the styrene press is a ten years younger reissue.

Take it away Alfreda, nothing's gonna stop you this time, appearing on those DJ play lists who pride themselves on playing the "unobvious Northern" on original first press 45's only.
