Our second rare British LP offering this month commemorates the passing of a lady who affected everyone who ever heard the driving passion and pain emanated from Etta’s every syllable.
This offering is the 1968 UK Chess press that many off you may never have seen before - it is that elusive! But unlike her British Ember album, this Chess 4536 lp contains Etta giving up SOUL at it’s very deepest “I’d Rather Go Blind” Soul/RB dance music at it’s most-potent “Tell Mama” and also a killer LP only R&B dance track of the highest order “Watch Dog” + so much more.
Both LPs offer the collector a slice of “Black Music” history that will never be repeated - there will never be another ETTA and certainly the chance to own such a album rarity with a cover that is “Soul-Art”, is an opportunity unlikely to present itself again in the near future!
Vinyl has a few very light surface marks but as you can hear it plays beautifully. Cover and labels are immaculate!
