Everyone’s favourite Ska instrumental band, as always delivering the goods. Lester Sterling’s immaculate trumpet work rides on a wave of instrumentation creating a deliciously smooth, classy and subtle Ska shuffler. Lovers of Jamaican soul will appreciate the group-harmony-soul flipside as Desmond Dekker is inspired by some subtle horn work and an uncredited harmony backing of The Four Aces.

Long Tall Sally
The iconic MOD band’s very first 45, a 1964 blazing R&B shakin’ version of the Little Richard classic, once again highlighting UK 60s group’s preference for the USA R&B sound. This recording also saw 1964 release in the USA Cameo, but this example has got to be the one to own. See scan, the label has a light scuff on the center piece, the vinyl has some very light surface marks, be sure to listen to the fine sound quality lifted directly off this very rare disc.

Prowler
Forgotten Angel
Considered the ulitimate NWOBHR trophy. Not just a UK only press but so local it never got out of Leicestershire. This the first 45 for the Heavy Rock band from the Pork Pie town of Melton Mowbray. It was given away at gigs in the 80s. We presume most-all copies never reached the homes of the recipients as this 45 has proved to be stupidly rare for over 3 decades. This copy is the only surviving copy left from a band member. Condition is flawless, it’s rarity heralds it as the undisputed no. 1 New Wave Of British Heavy Rock prize.
